Our Board of Trustees helps to set and review our direction and make sure we’re delivering our objectives. They offer advice and guidance to help Acorn Book Club support as many children as possible.

One thing they all have in common is a passion for helping children read more.

Rob Sargent

CEO, The Acorn Group
“I think we underestimate the importance of books and reading on the lives of children. I want to help raise the awareness of this issue."

Rob Sargent is chair of Acorn Book Club, and also CEO of The Acorn Group, a property company which he has helped grow from a single office in Grove Park to a London & Kent-wide group of 40 estate agency offices. In his downtime, he is a keen golfer and an avid reader.

Sandie Jones

Sandie Jones is the New York Times bestselling author of The Other Woman, The First Mistake, The Half Sister and The Guilt Trip. Her novels have been translated into fifteen languages. She lives in London with her husband and three children.

Rose Yazdani

Rose Yazdani has been Company Secretary for Hays Financial Centre Ltd for the past 35 years. She is married with two children and has lived in Bromley all her life. Rose is passionate about her golf and has had the honour of being Lady Captain of Sundridge Park Golf Club.

David Spragg

Being Managing Director of T&C Printers Bromley whose customers include many high-street names both in the UK and overseas, David champions the printed word and how physical books can stimulate a child’s imagination and expand their grammar and communication skills. David is a keen skier and motorcyclist.

The Acorn Book Club is a UK Registered Charity (1184137) run by The Acorn Group. Financial Donations are tax exempt and gift aid can be claimed.
